Sean A. Bukowski

Sean is an accomplished and well-respected litigator with McCoy Leavitt Laskey LLC’s Milwaukee office where he primarily defends individuals, families, and businesses in fire & explosion, automobile, truck, , construction, and other cases involving allegations of negligence. Before joining MLL in January 2025, Sean practiced at multiple Wisconsin-based firms where he gained a reputation as a trusted advocate for his clients. Having tried multiple cases to verdict, Sean is not afraid to try a case and prides himself on developing new and innovative tactics, whether through discovery, depositions, or motion practice, to put pressure on his opponents to achieve favorable results for his clients. Due to the extensive breadth and depth of his experience, Sean is frequently invited to speak and share his skill, expertise, and insight with fellow attorneys. Fellow attorneys frequently call on Sean for his legal knowledge, which has resulted in direct attorney referrals. Since 2023, Sean’s peers have nominated and selected him as a Super Lawyer-Rising Star for his expertise in civil litigation, insurance coverage, personal injury defense, appellate, construction litigation, and business and employment litigation, an honor bestowed to less than 2.5 % of practicing attorneys. Sean’s peers also recently nominated and selected him to appear in Best Lawyers-Ones to Watch for his expertise in appellate practice, insurance law, and labor and employment law, an honor bestowed to less than 2% of practicing attorneys.

Sean double majored, graduated Summa Cum Laude, and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Saginaw Valley State University in 2012. Following his undergraduate studies, Sean graduated and received his Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School in 2016 with a specialized certificate in Litigation. He is currently licensed to practice in Michigan, Wisconsin, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western District of Wisconsin.

Outside practicing law, Sean enjoys spending time outside and exploring everything that Wisconsin has to offer and spending time with family and friends. Sean also enjoys anything sports.
