Kevin W. Murray

KEVIN W. MURRAY is an Associate at McCoy Leavitt Laskey LLC (Milwaukee office). Kevin is admitted to practice in Wisconsin. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (B.S., cum laude, 2016) and attended Law School at Northern Illinois University (J.D., cum laude, 2022). During law school, Kevin clerked at a personal injury firm and also spent a semester clerking for the Honorable John B. Rhode of the 9th Circuit Court in Langlade County, Wisconsin.

Before Law School, Kevin worked in regulatory compliance for one of the largest gas distributors in the world. He then took a role specializing in global product compliance for a wholesale purchaser of products located in Illinois. At these organizations, he facilitated product recalls, performed product inspections and maintained domestic and international compliance standards for various products; the vast majority of which involved products with batteries and other electronic devices.

Taking these experiences to McCoy Leavitt Laskey, Kevin focuses his practice on the defense and litigation of complex claims involving fires, explosions and other losses. He is routinely called upon to give advice and legal counsel on product liability, wrongful death, construction defect and many other types of claims throughout the nation. You can readily find him at a scene inspection where a loss occurred or in a laboratory examining evidence with experts.

Kevin is determined to give each client cost effective solutions that are tailored to the individual needs of their legal dispute. He is keenly aware of discovery and deposition tactics to obtain positive results and has successfully achieved dismissals at the Summary Judgement stage for his clients.

Kevin lives in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin with his wife, Madeleine, and their dog, Duke. You can find him spending time up north with his family, golfing, playing tennis or watching Wisconsin sports teams in his spare time.
