Connie is a trial lawyer who prides herself on providing down to earth but effective representation in contentious cases. During her decades of practice, Connie has focused on handling high stakes civil litigation and has tried hundreds of cases. Connie has represented individuals and corporations throughout the country and in litigation involving incidents on four continents. Connie has been counsel for both plaintiff/claimants and insurance and workers’ compensation defense in asbestos exposure litigation, products liability, railroad and trucking collisions, mass electrocutions at construction sites, building collapses, as well as gas explosions, flight catastrophes and boating collisions. Her advocacy started with appellate accident reconstruction advocacy, and she eventually built her own firm representing professional athletes and high net worth individuals/business owners and lenders in private prelitigation issues, as well as trials. She has represented multiple different insurance companies. In addition to catastrophic cases involving transportation with personal injuries, she has tried or negotiated employment, family law, and real estate disputes. She has been lead counsel on cases involving $50 million.
Connie works cooperatively with counsel in many states and is licensed in Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. She has achieved the highest rating from the Martindale-Hubbell (AV) (5.0 out of 5.0). Boysen developed the largest woman owned firm in greater Kansas City. In addition to practicing law, she has been featured on various television and radio networks during multiple ratings weeks as a legal commentator discussing liability matters of public interest to promote education of legal issues. She has been a frequent presenter for continuing legal education seminars in Missouri and Kansas on issues involving direct and cross examination and presentation of expert testimony, jury selection, and trial presentation skills. In more recent years, she has assists legal advocacy groups represent underprivileged abuse victims and trains young lawyers in trial advocacy in rural areas.
Connie received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She received her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law, with American Jurisprudence awards in Trial Advocacy and Advanced Constitutional Law. Before becoming licensed to practice, Connie got her master’s in mass communication at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she coached the forensics team to national success. In her spare time, Connie is an avid sports fan and trains for individual endurance events. She mentors students who aspire to be trial lawyers and develops real estate.
