Chris Chu

Chris Chu is an associate in the Falmouth office.  He is a seasoned trial attorney with extensive experience in both civil and criminal law. Prior to joining McCoy Leavitt Laskey, Chris worked for a large nonprofit where he could be found in courtrooms throughout the state of Maine advancing his clients’ interests with strategic, forward-thinking litigation, often facing powerful institutional opposing parties. 

For over a decade as an Assistant District Attorney, Chris prosecuted high-stakes felony cases, first-chaired jury trials, defended appeals to the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, and provided legal training to law enforcement agencies in courtroom testimony and forensic practices. He holds a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Mount Allison University. 

In his spare time Chris enjoys discovering new experiences with his family.
